Death Valley serves as a backdrop for this epic ride! Yamaha FJR1300 vs. Honda ST1300 vs. Kawasaki Concours 14:

Oddometer: 315. I owned a 2008 FJR1300. It was very comfortable and since the current model has existed since 2006 there is a lot of aftermarket support for it, so obviously you can get any seat, any windshield, Helibars risers, relocated pegs, highway pegs, etc.
The Versys holds a 10- to 15-horse advantage from 4,000 to 9,000 rpm with a similar boost in torque but spots the FJ (with $973.96 accessory side bags) 71 pounds, giving the Yamaha a discernible
Choosing the FJR. The FJR Gen 2 is simply a superb machine. I started biking on a Yamaha and to be honest it is all I know, I had a 600 Fazer and was considering a jump to a Kawasaki GTR. Speaking with a bike cop on a bike safe ride out I was telling the officer how I intended on buying a GTR.
A 144hp, 1289cc four, shaft drive and an alloy beam frame made it a strong rival to models like the Honda Pan European, Kawasaki GTR1400 and BMW K1200GT, but all those bikes are gone now and the Yamaha is following suit. The FJR1300AE Ultimate Edition marks the end of the model’s life and at £17,647 is actually £200 cheaper than the

well the big argument against the BMW in the reviews of the Concours is price but if you take the Kawasaki, and add a different windshield (if you're 6 foot or taller, a must), then buy aftermarket heated grips, have a custom heated seat made, buy a top case when they come out, throw on a zumo with a custom mount so it sits in the center and doesn't oddly weight one side of the bars, the
The FJR will seem b***** and heavier than the VFR because it is but it will more than hold its own on a twisty course. As far as performance, the FJR will eat a VFR for lunch in performance and power because the FJR has 145 hp and 90 ft-lb of electric motor type torque on tap at the slight twist of the throttle.

So it’s no R6, but it isn’t built for R6 duties. The FJR is built to carry you a long way in all weathers, with luggage, in comfort and to be safe and fun the whole while. Where it excels is
The BMW 1200 is the first iteration of that slant four and there were some design issues corrected with the 1300 successor. It may well need more attention than the FJR. So a question for you might be how happy you would be to seek out and pay for competent mechanical support and parts on the BMW if they were needed.

They said the RT was more stable on the highway, handled better on twisty roads, had better wind protection and better brakes, and possibly a few more advantages I can't remember right now.
consider the FJR could take off from rest in 5th gear there is probably an argument for only having 4 gears. Tank size, here the FJR shits all over the GTR, a standard 450 + km range is pretty good. The ST has 27 litres, the FJR 25 litres - why only 22 litres Kawasaki?
