In the first Medieval: Total War the game would end once the turn limit was reached, which was about 400 turns or so, (Depending on which era you chose) it began around 1080 and ends in the early 1400s. I have not reached the end of the 225 turns myself so I'd go with what these guys say. The timeline for the long campaign is the year 1530 but
England: Opening Moves Guide. By Gaius Colinius. Part of the Bayeux Tapestry. England has an enviable starting position in that it can very easily have 7 secure & safe provinces very early in the game with a “beachhead” province in Caen. Common sense alone dictates that eradicating the Scots is the key to the opening moves.
If you can catch it on sale it's definitely worth it. It's definitely a different game compared to the Warhammer series. Just remember to get it on sale because its very often -75% off. The next Total War game could potentially be based on another fantasy IP, offering a grand campaign with numerous factions and continents. Another possibility is a sequel to Empire: Total War, expanding the game's scope to include more regions. Professional units are expensive, slow to train, and devastating.you need some good strategy to take them down, even a 1/4 strength professional unit can take on 3-4 levies.
